The new owners are taking their sushi to a new level of freshness. The tuna is blood red and fresh tasting. Their rolls are not full of rice/filler, YAY! Their hibachi is hit or miss, but when its good, ITS GOOD. We had takeout from here and I have to say, I DONT recommend it. Eat there and the food looks and tastes better. The to go roll was tiny and fishy. The to go hibachi wasn't very good. But we had that same dish there and it was off the chain good! Headed back tonight. Will update you on our third try...

Tried it for lunch since it was very close. I had ordered the Chicken Teriyaki box which is accompanied with a roll (mexican is what i chose), cucumber salad, ginger salad, egg roll and miso soup. if this place had their tempetures right they could be alot better. Chicken Teriyaki- chicken was tough/overcooked or just frozen too long prior. Broccoli, carrots were both very under cooked. Carrots were in the heat for no more than 30 secs it seemed. cucumber salad is no salad but just cucumber slices with nothing else. Ginger dressing salad was only lettuce and ginger dressing Sushi- rice was overcooked and mushy. The rice is so important in sushi and this is some of the worst rice i have had on sushi. the mexican roll just seemed to be lacking substance as well. they were on the smaller size circumference wise. I was pretty dissapointed with the food. the staff seems really friendly though. suggestions- charge one more dollar for lunch, add some tomato slices to the salad, invest in some better rice or use a different technique, pay more attention to the cooking tempetures. they do not deserve a one star rating because the amount of food you get for 9.95 is pretty good.

Every time I come the food is outstanding, I would definitely recommend the Yama Big Roll. It's usually not too busy dine in, as most of their business seems to be take out, both of which I have tried and have had good experiences both ways! I always take friends and family here for good, decent prices Japanese cuisine!

My wife and I walked and stood there waiting for someone to notice... Hoping for real hibachi cooking and some sushi. The place totally lacked appeal. the ceiling was caving in, it REEKED like rancid fat, and Im pretty sure I felt dead roaches under the carpet. Cant comment on the food, because after five mins we walked out and will never return.

This is one of our favorite sushi spots. We always start with the vegetable tempura, you can't go wrong with that! We recommend the super crunchy roll, red dragon roll and the yama big roll. The service has gotten better and better every time we go.

I've been there several times and brought other people there and we all agree, this is some really great sushi. It is, without a doubt, the best sushi I've had in Florida. I used to have my favorite sushi place but one stop here and this became my new favorite!

    1. Friendly/helpful staff/good customer service It's been a long time since I've been here and the main reason is #1 stated. All of the times I've come here, I felt like the staff really didn't care for my business. They just wanted to get it over with. There were short smiles but felt very insincere. During many fine in visits, my waitress would disappear after our order until the check was to be delivered. I just felt like 2. Quality service/ overall happiness with service The food and sushi was good. 3. Cleanliness From what I speculated, it was appropriate. 4. Reasonable pricing I've never had a problem with my bill and the prices were decent. 5. Overall appearance of the business/atmosphere Nice place. Cute. I like the atmosphere of the interior.

I have been going to this place since as far as I can remember, before they moved it from their original location. The staff can be quiet yes- but the majority have been working there since I've been going and they are the nicest people & remember not only faces but names too. Even after I moved away they remember me. I not only think it's the best place for Sushi in Palm Harbor, but 727 as a whole. definitely recomment the HOT BAGEL as it is one of the best rolls I have ever had in my life. I live in California now and I miss this place all the time. Definitely recommend it. A++

I went here one Saturday afternoon. I walked in and it was like a ghost town. The people there looked like they couldn't care less about us being there. I order the rice paper spring rolls as an appetizer. There wasn't much they could do to screw them up. Then I followed with a Spicy Tuna Roll and a Spider Roll.I figured that we would take a step up if these rolls were decent. I could not believe how small the rolls were. Nothing special and my next steps were out the door. Terrible place! This is probably my worst review given since I started.

I ate here last night for the second time, The food was good, The service and atmosphere I found a tiny bit lacking, but I like this place, and I will go again. We had a wide assortment of Sushi that our party split between ourselves. It was tasty and a good value for what we got. I recommend that you try it! ------- Update: Went again on a Thursday night, place was busy, food - service bout the same. keeping my rating the same..

This place is in my top 3 sushi places for the palm harbor area. The atmosphere could be better, but the sushi is excellent and always very fresh. I haven't had a roll I didn't love yet! My favorite roll is the tarpon roll. I definitely recommend!
